"You make me your margarita, and I’ll make you mine. Then we’ll see whose is better," I challenged my friend and restaurant industry titan, Larry Mindel, as we cruised along the coast of southern Mexico on his boat.
This is how one seemingly small event can lead to a life-changing experience. You see, when I won the competition, it got Larry’s wheels turning and the next thing we knew, we were plotting out how we could open a modern Mexican restaurant that featured the freshest cuisine and unbelievable tequila cocktails. Copita Tequileria y Comida was born!
As we enter our 4th year serving a vast array of seasonal dishes and arguably the best tacos in the Bay Area, I must say that I’m a bit emotional. Congratulations to everyone who made this dream possible!
