Recipes with love from Provence

A visit to Provence feels like stepping into a painting filled with lavender fields, bustling village markets, and the comforting aroma of fresh bread drifting through sunlit streets.   It's a place so near and dear to my heart for a number of resons and I love sharing it with guests on my Culinary Tours.

The food here is beautifully simple yet unforgettable. Imagine savoring a leisurely lunch beneath olive trees — fresh tomatoes bursting with flavor, creamy local cheeses, warm baguettes, olive tapenade, and delicate herbs woven into every dish. It's the kind of meal in which each bite tastes as though it had been picked that morning.

At the market, baskets overflow with olives, apricots, lavender honey, and fragrant herbs tied in bundles. Locals chat over espresso while vendors proudly share stories behind their wines, cheeses, and handmade goods.

What makes Provence unforgettable isn’t only the food itself, but the way people experience it here. Meals are slow, conversations linger, and every ingredient is treated with care and respect. Food in Provence feels connected to the land, the seasons, and the joy of gathering together.

I understand why so many people fall in love with this region. Provence doesn’t simply feed you — it invites you to savor life.

I hope you'll join me here sometime soon, and in the meantime, may these recipes bring a little French sunshine, slow living, and joy to your kitchen wherever you are.

Bon appétit from Provence!
