Culinary Journeys Terms & Conditions

TO RESERVE A PLACE:

Places are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. A non-refundable deposit of US $1500.00 per person is required to reserve a place. Space is limited, so early reservations are advised. The balance is due no later than 60 days before the program begins. If the balance remains unpaid at that time, Joanne Weir LLC reserves the right to treat the reservation as cancelled, and retain the deposit paid. Price is inclusive of accommodations, tuition, food, wines, and transfers within each country to and from pre-arranged meeting points at pre-arranged times. Joanne Weir LLC is not responsible for any other expenses incurred by you in preparing to attend its programs, including hotel, airfare, and other ground transportation. Prices do not include optional trips or special transfers.

Price is quoted on a double occupancy basis. Single room supplements are as noted, if such room is available. If requested, Joanne Weir LLC will try to find another participant to share a double room with you. Upon receive your deposit, Joanne Weir LLC will send you a confirmation, provided space is available, and frequently requested information regarding itinerary, transfers, dress, etc.

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS:

If we receive written notice of your cancellation 31-60 days prior to the start of your program (and have also received payment in full for the program), we shall refund 50% of your total fee, less your original US $1500.00 deposit. There will be no refund for cancellations 30 days or less prior to the start of your program, unless (i) we are able to fill your place with another participant, and (ii) the program has the necessary minimum required number of participants; in this instance, we shall refund all fees received, less your original US $1500.00 deposit. Joanne Weir LLC reserves the right to cancel any program should a minimum number of participants not be reached. The refund of all payments received for you, less any forfeiture of deposit, shall release Joanne Weir LLC from any liability to you. The quoted price is based on current costs and foreign exchange rates and is therefore subject to change. If there is a price change, you will be notified with a full refund guaranteed if you choose to cancel.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Services provided in connection with the trip, such as hotel and all forms of transportation, are rendered by independent contractors who are not agents or employees of Joanne Weir LLC. Joanne Weir LLC arranges for these services only as agent for the individual participant. Participants expressly agree that Joanne Weir LLC shall not be liable for any delay, mishap, inconvenience, expense, bodily injury or death or damage to property occasioned through the acts, negligence or defaults of any company or individual engaged in providing the services arranged by Joanne Weir LLC. Joanne Weir LLC shall not be liable, directly or indirectly, for any injury, death or damage for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to acts of God, detention, war, quarantine, weather, terrorism, civil disturbance, strike, changes in government regulations, airline, or other travel operations. Joanne Weir LLC will not be responsible for any belonging damaged, lost, or left behind by the participant. Joanne Weir LLC reserves the right to substitute itinerary items of equal value without notice to participants. Signature on the reservation form of the participant or authorized representative signifies acceptance of and agreement to be bound by all the terms and conditions as stated in this brochure. Purchase of baggage, personal effects, accident, health, and trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.
