Classes

Provence France TourOur focus on Provençal cuisine will center on hands-on cooking classes, visits to the local markets and tasting the ingredients and dishes that epitomize this region, like Toasted Goat Cheese Salad with Smoked Bacon, Bouillabaisse, Chicken with 40 Cloves of Garlic, and Lemon Souffle Cakes.

Accommodations

We'll stay at Blanche Fleur, a breathtaking Provençal estate located just minutes from the famous Chateauneuf-du-Pape wine-growing region. The extraordinary estate has been lovingly restored with exquisite grace and elegance, but still offers modern-day comforts while staying true to its five centuries of history. Lavender, apricot and cherry trees and a gorgeous swimming pool fill the grounds.

Day Trips

Excursions include a trip to my friends Magaly and Raymond Fabre's glorious vineyard, Chateau Mont-Redon, and an insider's tour of Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe winery. We will also meet and taste the creations of one of France's top chocolatiers; and immerse ourselves in Provençal cuisine through hands-on cooking classes and visits to local markets.
