I was thrilled to find out that both seasons of my PBS series, Joanne Weir’s Cooking Class, are airing on Create® TV, the 24-hour national lifestyle & how-to programming channel for public television. Many of you have written to me asking for recipes and information on cooking tools that I use on my show. I love to hear from my fans and students across the country, so I thought I’d share some of the most requested recipes with you from the series.
Italian “Mac and Cheese” – creamy baked penne with 4 cheeses – divine!
Roasted Cauliflower Soup with Coriander – simple but spectacular flavor
Pan-Seared Chicken Breasts with Mustard, Rosemary, and Capers – this is a perfect weeknight meal
Roast Caramel Pears with Mascarpone – elegant dessert for any occasion
Some of you, like me, might still be thinking about Valentine’s Day plans. Since my Valentine is a chocolate-lover, I’m planning to make something decadent, but what to choose? Here are a few of my chocolate contenders for February 14th:
~Valentine’s Day Chocolate Recipes~
Panna Cotta with Warm Bitter Chocolate Sauce – need I say more? Churros con Chocolate – a sweet ending to a Spanish-themed meal
Cognac Ice Cream with Chocolate Truffles – a trifecta of flavors
Warm Chocolate, Cinnamon, Coffee and Pecan Tart – you can use any nut here: pine nut, walnut, hazelnut – it is always delicious!
Warm Little Chocolate Cakes with Soft Centers – you can’t just eat one!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
