An August to Remember!

August is a special month for me – I’m a Leo – but this is an especially important month. Last weekend I was a guest chef at the first annual SFChefs.Food.Wine event in San Francisco. It was such an amazing and delicious celebration of our local culinary scene. Read more about it including my cooking demo with best chef friend Gary Danko on my blog.

Although I drank champagne (and lots of it) on my birthday earlier this month, I’m thrilled the “buzz” about tequila and my new book continues! We had a fantastic tequila event at my good friend Heidi Krahling’s restaurant Marinitas in San Anselmo. The antojitos (Mexican tapas) were out of this world – Heidi is an incredible chef – and we had 8 tequila brands pouring tastes for everyone. All in a day’s work! Join me for a Cooks with Books Tequila dinner in Marin this September.

In addition to participating in all of these events this month, I’ve been pretty preoccupied planning my own special event – my wedding! I’m so excited I can hardly wait. And maybe I’ll surprise you with a blog post from Greece – can you say honeymoon??!! Who knows, I might even bring a tour there in the future…
