It’s true – I have tequila on the brain! This month I’m teaching at Rancho La Puerta spa in Mexico followed by a tequila cocktail class with one of the top mixologists in San Francisco; my tequila cooking demo gathered a crowd of 300 at Sunset Magazine’s annual event, Chuck Williams, founder of Williams-Sonoma attended my demo and book signing at the Union Square flagship store in San Francisco, and I just led a sold-out tequila tasting and book signing at Tyler Florence’s fabulous shop. No wonder I’m getting so excited for the upcoming tequila-inspired weekend cooking course in my kitchen!

My TEQUILA Weekend Cooking Course in San Francisco (July 24-26) is not to be missed! I’ve chosen recipes from my new TEQUILA book to teach you lots of different cooking techniques: slow-braising, hand-beating egg whites for Mexican Chocolate Soufflés, knife skills for Pineapple Carpaccio with Prawn and Pepper Salad, creating the perfect Honey Tequila Vinaigrette for a refreshing salad, working with puff pastry for savory Chorizo Hand Pies. I’m hungry already! And we have very special award-winning bartenders joining our fiesta: H. Joseph Ehrmann from Elixir and Ronald Colli from Americano at Hotel Vitale. Both worked with me on cocktail recipes for the book and they’ll teach us how to create tasty tequila cocktails. We still have a few spaces left so come join the cooking fiesta!

Everyone told me I needed to write a blog and I’m finally ready to share mine with all of you. I’m having lots of fun with it! I’ve just posted some sweet rhubarb dessert recipes inspired by my mother’s garden. My blog is another great place to find new recipes I’ve been working on at home!
