I had a blast teaching my Harvest in Wine Country course last week! My students learned to make a delicious Warm Stilton and Mushroom Galette, my perfect Roast Turkey, Crostini with Smoked Trout and Lemon Zest (with homemade mayonnaise!), my mother’s double-crust Apple Pie, and we kicked off our Tequila Cocktail Party menu with a Mexican 75 (a margarita topped off with champagne) from my Tequila book. It was a fantastic week and I know my students were so excited to go home and cook for their family and friends!
As we enter this wonderful holiday season, what better gift than a cooking course in San Francisco, Provence, or Tuscany? Treat yourself, bring or send a spouse, family member or best friend for the cooking experience of a lifetime! You’ll not only come away with the memories of an incredible hands-on cooking journey with me but you’ll know how to re-create my delicious recipes back at home – a gift that truly will keep on giving!!
And speaking of giving, students who attend my 2010 San Francisco cooking courses will also receive a fantastic piece of cookware as a gift from Le Creuset's brand new tri-ply line! In my upcoming Rolling in Dough Weekend Course (February 5-7, 2010) we’ll have lots of fun with flour! I’ll teach you how to master making pizza, pasta, and pastry. We’ll make Sardinian Crispy Cracker Bread, homemade Herb-Rolled Pappardelle (wide noodles) with Lemon and Brown Butter, Pizza topped with an Arugula and Parmesan Salad, and a delicious Warm Chocolate, Cinnamon and Pecan Tart. And that’s only the beginning!
